A Beginners Guide to the MLM world.
You might be reading this wondering if MLM's are for you. Perhaps a friend or a co-worker approached you about a business they are in. Perhaps they convinced you to go to a meeting put on by one of their upline sponsors. Now your interest is peaked, but is all the hype just hype or do these businesses really work?

To answer that you need to know a couple of things: The statistics that your up against and how motivated you are to create a business for yourself.

The statistics show that about 90% of all people who join an MLM fail and that percentage is probably on the low side. The problem most people run in to is simply a lack of direction by there upline. The initial hype of the business meeting gets you excited about the opportunity and you join. One month later with no downline to speak of you get discouraged and quit. Too many people think that if they join it the people will come. This is typically not the case unless you have a very large and supportive family, who you are typically told to show the business to first, you will have to "hit the pavement" and most people are not comfortable doing this.

One very important factor to remember when joining an MLM is that you are starting YOUR OWN business. you need to put yourself in the right frame of mind and think about what you need to do to make your business succeed. That's it,simple  right? Well, It can be if you want it to be.  Typically you'll have to pay a small fee to join and these fees vary considerably, but tell me this, can you start any brick and mortar business for less then $50?  Uh...no.

No huge loans from the bank to open a coffee shop on the corner that you bust your $#@! at all day long only to break even. No inventory to stock (unless you want to). You work when you want, how you want and where you want. But like a brick and mortar business the more you put into it the more your business will grow. MLM's and any other stay at home business once you get them going are just a lot easier and less stressfull then your standard business. So if you are motivated enough then you can kiss your financial woes goodbye because you've found the business you need to start.

So to wrap up here are what I view to be the Pros and Cons of the MLM Industry.

Lets switch it up and go Cons first:

There are so many out there it's hard to choose the right one.
It's hard to get involved with a team that provides good support.
You have to be comfortable pushing yourself out of your comfort zone.
It takes a long time to build a serious residual income.
You can if your not carefull spend a lot of money trying to succeed in this industry.

And the Pros:

It takes very little money to start.
You choose when you work.
Work from the comfort of your home.
You have the whole world via the internet as your market.
You can fully automate your business.
I could probably go on for a while so I'll stop here.....:)

Best of luck in your business!
