To locate and find hot selling products or (niches) you first have to do a survey, you can accomplish this by sending a email to your list and ask them what one thing do they need help with.
Ask them what there needs are, keep the survey simple to answer and keep it short and to the point.
Also if you get back allot of the same question, you need to look at it very carefully because you just might have your next product.
Also another way to accomplish this is to hang out in forums on the net that directly apply to your niche.

Look for questions being posted at the forums, also look at old postings 1 to 2 months old, pay close attention to how many views it had.
Anything over 1500 is a potential product that you could produce, this means that 1500 people are seeking the same information that was posted in the forums.
TIP:Also forums are awesome for putting together a product that delivers a positive solution to the searchers needs.
You must be able to understand and satisfy the need, wants and expectations of your future customers on a certain product that they're trying to buy.
You have to fill their need for information that solves their problem.
